- Ever want to save something that you typed up with your WWIV full-screen
- (or internal) editor, yet when you went to use it you found all of those
- nasty CTRL-P color codes all throughout it? Yuck! Bring forth 1Fstrip0.
-
- What 1Fstrip0 does is strip out all of those nasty color commands from any
- text created by WWIV. It works great for anything [E]xtracted or //EDITed,
- etc. It may not work for SHIFT-F1 screen captures, however, because S-F1 uses
- ANSI capture... so those aren't CTRL-P codes, but 1Fstrip0 works great for
- everything else.
-
- 1Fstrip 0is not a source code modification. It is a standalone program.
- I've seen other stand-alones come over this net before so I'm assuming it's
- safe to do so! Don't worry, though, because 1Fstrip0 isn't that big.
-
- The next two (2) posts contain 1Fstrip0: FSTRIP1.UUE and FSTRIP2.UUE. All
- you have to do once you've extracted them is drop to DOS and type
-
- 2uudecode fstrip1.uue
-
- UUcode should automatically detect the ending of fstrip1 and start right
- up on fstrip2. (At least, it does for me!) If it doesn't, then you can mash
- them back together into one UUE file by typing
-
- 2copy /b fstrip1.uue + fstrip2.uue fstrip.uue
-
- And it will create FSTRIP.UUE for you. You shouldn't have to do this,
- however. 7NOTE:0 the "/b" is necessary.
-
- 1Fstrip0 is compressed with 371Pklite0 and comes in it's EXEcutable form. If
- you have any problems or questions, please feel free to contact me (DaarKhan
- 1@7653).
